IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025: Completes 100% Placements; BCG, Accenture Strategy are Top Recruiters; Salary Figures Not Revealed

IIM Calcutta has announced 100% placements 2025 for its flagship MBA program. A total of 456 students participated in the process, securing 538 offers made by 196 companies. The consulting sector was the top recruiter with 37.3% offers and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was the top recruiter. While IIM Calcutta said that “we are very fortunate to have remarkable placement results despite challenging market conditions”, the B-school did not reveal any figures related to average or highest salaries.

IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025 witnesses strong hiring by Consulting Sector 
The consulting sector was the top recruiter with 201 offers (37.3%) being made. Within this sector, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) emerged as the top recruiter along with Accenture Strategy. Other consulting firms that participated in the IIM Calcutta final placement 2025 were McKinsey, Kearney, Alvarez & Marsal, Arthur D Little, Auctus Advisors, EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte, TCS, KPMG, PwC, and Vector Consulting. 

Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking hire big at IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025 

Finance has always been a strength of IIM Calcutta. IIM Calcutta is a favourite hiring ground for top financial sector companies. 

At IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025, about 114 offers were made in the areas of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Markets, Asset and Wealth management which saw participation from firms like Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citi, Barclays, UBS, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Avendus, Moelis, Elevation Capital, DE Shaw, Standard Chartered, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Kotak Alternate Asset, Ambit, Prime Ventures, Edelweiss, Ebullient Securities, EY IB, amongst others.

American Express emerged as the top recruiter in the payments and card cohort, followed by Mastercard.

Technology Sector hires many IIM Calcutta students 
Technology sector continues to hire talent for product management and other roles. At IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025, the technology sector witnessed participation from firms like Google, Microsoft, Navi, Infosys Global, HiLabs, ThoughtSpot, Ola, Browserstack, UKG, Optum, ITC Infotech, EXL, and HCL. These firms extended 78 offers (14.5%). 

Marketing and General Management roles hire 27% of IIMC MBAs
145 offers (27%) were made primarily in Marketing and General Management domain by firms like Tata Administrative Services, Aditya Birla Group, GMR, RPSG, Zomato, Vedanta, RPG, Adani, Puma, Coca-Cola, Dabur, Airtel and Mankind Pharma, among others.

IIM Calcutta Final Placements 2025 sees many new recruiters
The placement season also saw participation from many new recruiters like DBS Bank, Welspun, Nykaa, Clear, Lava International, Juspay, Modelama Exports, Waaree Group, Fashion Accessories, Policybazaar, to name a few.

IIM Calcutta says “very fortunate to have remarkable placements”, but did not reveal any salary figures 
While IIM Calcutta spokesperson said that they were happy with remarkable placement results despite challenging market conditions, the B-school did not reveal any figures related to average or highest salaries. 

Commending the students, Professor Ritu Mehta, chairperson, placement committee, IIM Calcutta said, “We are very fortunate to have remarkable placement results despite challenging market conditions. 
Our graduates have got great opportunities to kickstart their careers after the management degree. We are very grateful to our recruiters to repose their trust in our students and our academic ecosystem”.

IIM Calcutta Placements 2024 
The consulting sector emerged as the top recruiter yet again at IIM Calcutta with 167 students (31.6 percent) bagging offers. Accenture Strategy emerged as the top recruiter among the consulting sector which included firms like EY-Parthenon, Monitor Deloitte, KPMG, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Vector Consulting and Arthur D. Little, McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Kearney, amongst others.

Finance Sector amongst Top Recruiter
IIM Calcutta continues to attract prestigious finance firms and remains the finance campus of the country. About 114 students (21.5 percent) entered marquee finance firms from the private equity, venture capital, investment banking, markets, asset and wealth management domains, which saw participation from firms like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Barclays, HSBC and others.

Technology Roles Offered
The technology sector witnessed the participation of firms like Microsoft, Navi, Arcesium, Media.Net, Uber, Angel One, HCL, Newgen, Zomato, Javis and NPCI, which extended offers to 88 students (16.6 percent).

Many Marketing & General Management Roles Offered
Marketing and general management sector firms like ITC, Loreal, Proctor & Gamble, Dabur, Tata Administrative Services, Vedanta, Adani, Hinduja, Aditya Birla Group, Essar Group, JSW and Reliance among others, which recruited 130 students (24.6 percent).  

IIM Calcutta Placements 2023: Key Highlights
Following are the key highlights of IIM Calcutta Placement 2023:

  • The whole placement process was concluded in a short time in hybrid mode
  • Achieves 100% placement for the class 2023 with more offers despite the large batch
  • Average salary increased by 3% at Rs.35.07 LPA in Placement 2023 from Rs.34.20 LPA last year
