IIM Shillong Launches 5 Year Integrated Programme in Management; Becomes 7th IIM to Offer IPM

IIM Shillong Launches 5-year IPM 
IIM Shillong has announced the launch of 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) on April 1, 2025. Making the announcement, Dr D P Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, said, “IIM Shillong, the 7th IIM in India, has decided to launch Integrated Programme in Management (leading to BBA and MBA) from academic year 2025.” 

Inviting students to apply for the IPM program, IIM Shillong website says, “Build yourself as a future leader with skill sets for 2030.” However, IIM Shillong is yet to announce the fees, program outline, and other details of the IPM program.

IIM Shillong IPM Admission 2025 Open
IIM Shillong has confirmed that it will be accepting the IIM Indore’s IPMAT exam scores for IIM Shillong IPM Admission 2025. The first batch of IIM Shillong IPM program will be admitted from academic session 2025. 

However, as on the date of publishing this article, IIM Shillong is yet to open application process for the IIM Shillong IPM Admission 2025. 

IIM Shillong says its IPM program is designed to equip students with essential competencies for 2030, including problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and data-driven decision-making. The curriculum aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP), integrating structured thinking, management fundamentals, and well-being courses to prepare students for a future shaped by AI, ethics, and climate challenges.

IIM Shillong becomes 7th IIM to Offer IPM Program 
Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a 5-year management program leading to BBA and MBA degrees. Seven IIMs including IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak and IIM Ranchi offer IPM Program in 2025.

IIM Indore was the first IIM to launch the 5 year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) in 2011. IIM Indore Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offers opportunity to earn BBA and MBA degrees from IIM Indore. IIM Indore conducts IPMAT Exam for its Admissions. IIM Ranchi joined IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak to launch multidisciplinary IPM programme with integrated BBA+MBA degree in 2021. 

IIM Amritsar has also launched Integrated Program in Management (IPM) for Admission 2025. IIM Amritsar IPM Admissions 2025 are also based on IIM Indore IPMAT scores.

IIM Bangalore and IIM Sirmaur Offer Bachelors Management Programs 
In September, 2024, IIM Bangalore announced its foray into undergraduate programs, IIM Bangalore by inaugurating a blended learning BBA in Digital Business and Entrepreneurship (BBA DBE) programme. IIM Bangalore BBA DBE program’s focus is on blending digital awareness with core business skills. 

IIM Sirmaur also offers Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), a four-year undergraduate program designed to equip students with fundamental management education while fostering interdisciplinary learning. Students achieving a minimum CGPA of 8.0 can join IIM Sirmaur’s MBA program. The total program fee is ₹22.73 lakh.

Founded in 2007, IIM Shillong was the seventh Indian Institute of Management to be established in India.
